Marine Biologist

I'm Jerusha Elaisa, a Marine Biologist at Kokomo. As a swimmer, I developed a love for water and awareness of its importance. I studied Marine Science at the University of the South Pacific and volunteered as a learn-to-swim coach. I joined Kokomo as a Stewardess on the Fishing Fleet, where I learned about fish identification and sustainable fishing. Now, I assist the Marine Biology team with sustainability projects and use reef-safe cleaning products on the fishing boats. My goal is to incorporate modern and cultural practices to become effective custodians of the ocean. Vinaka!
