Marine Biologist

Hi, I'm Lily Taoi, a Marine Biologist at Kokomo Private Island Resort. I grew up fishing with my grandmother in the village of Kadavu, which created a deep bond with the ocean. Seeing changes in the ecosystem motivated me to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Science. Working with the Ministry of Fisheries and completing a practical with Cliona O'Flaherty and Viviana Taubera led me to join the Marine Biology team at Kokomo. I'm proud to work on conservation efforts with the Manta Trust, Mangrove and Coral restoration, Clam and Turtle conservation. I hope to help sustain a healthy ocean for future generations.
